PRESIDENT Jen Mandelblatt jpm367
To our wonderful seniors,
Congratulations!! Thank you so much for being the most amazing friends and role models. Because of all of you, I stand taller, smile wider, and have a home in Kappa Delta. You have given me and this chapter more than would have been fair to expect or to ask and I am forever grateful. I hate that graduating means you're leaving Ithaca, but I could not be
more proudof and excited for you and your next adventures. You are all going to do incredible things, of that I have no doubt. I can't wait to see you at Homecoming, Big/Little Reveal, Centennial Kick-Off and on the trips in between. Many cheers to you: all that you've accomplished and all that you will achieve.
Not fur years but for life.
Too much love in AOT,

If you haven’t gotten your spring apparel, please contact Ali or Cathy and we will tell you where to find the leftover apparel box. ***Apparel chairs are no longer responsible for apparel from the spring line, so we will tell you where to find it but we cannot guarantee that all your stuff will be there. So text us sooner rather than later!*** Here’s the spring apparel signup form in case you forgot if/what you ordered (https://docs.google.com/ spreadsheets/d/ 1W2n8Ajhx8Yg5kz7ug3srQoR0pTPO8 ZuU36BYaMXwQ_0/edit#gid= 1956312735).
Good luck with finals <3
Thank you so much for listening to our little cheesy and sappy quotes at the end of every chapter the past year. As seniors, we are so lucky to have gotten to know all of you and hope that we were able to make you a smile a little more each week! Good luck in this hectic and sometimes overwhelming time of year as finals begin tomorrow! Know that everything goes over better with confidence and a positive attitude- please reach out to us if you ever need anything in the next week or two OR if you’d just like to chat as a study break.
Mountains for Moms - Joanna Cherches
I hope this message finds you well!
I am writing today to tell you all about Mountains for Moms, a student-run project at Cornell I am a part of that aims to change the lives of women living with obstetric fistula. We plan to do so by climbing to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro (elevation 19,341 ft) this June. Obstetric fistula is a terrible childbirth injury that renders women incontinent and socially marginalized. If left untreated, it is a devastating condition, as is the case for the vast majority of African women who develop an obstetric fistula. It’s also very cost-effective to fix, whereby a woman can be surgically treated for $288.
We are a group of 6 climbers and intend to raise $19,341, enough funds to support surgical treatment for 67 women. My part of the team goal is $3,224 and I am hoping you could support me in this effort. This money will go to an innovative charity called Operation Fistula that has revolutionized the treatment of women with obstetric fistula. Your donation will be directly linked to the treatment of one woman. The cost of our trip, to note, is completely self-funded.
So, what does climbing Kilimanjaro have to do with a terrible,
little known injury? We are strong believers that this is the best way to inform others about the condition. You can’t fix what you don’t know is broken, so we are climbing this mountain to let people know there are mothers whom we can help.
Together, we can change 11 lives if I reach my goal of $3,224. Your donation would be a big step towards that ambitious goal. If you want to learn more about the project and my motivations for committing to this cause, check out my profile. You can also donate directly here.
Thank you so much, and I hope you join me in helping mothers unnecessarily living with obstetric fistula. Good luck with finals!
