Positive Office Referrals

The Positive Office Referral should be used when a teacher wishes to reward a student for something academic or behavioral. This differs from the ROAR award in that Positive Office referrals can be issued at any time and for any positive behavior worthy of reward. The ROAR award is for students working hard over a period of time and producing academic results. To submit a Positive Office Referral, CLICK HERE. Students that receive a POR will be called in by an administrator and will also be awarded 25 Tiger Pride points!

Teacher toolkit

If you are not already following this lady, Catlin Tucker, on Twitter, you definitely should. She is an English teacher who has written several books on how to implement blended learning in the classroom for students but also to increase teacher efficiency. Her articles are short and direct with ideas that are easy to turn around. Check this one out- not rocket science but totally brilliantJ

Witnessing Others Work (WOW) Award

Ms. Lewis is a powerhouse teacher and works diligently to ensure her students are successful. From planning educational trips abroad to supporting our kids right here in the great state of Texas, Ms. Lewis is an asset to the Travis Tiger team!

Wellness Committee:

Wellness tip: Ditch added sugar, especially from sugary drinks, is a major reason for unhealthy weight gain and health problems like diabetes and heart disease.

Plus, foods like candy, soda and baked goods that contain lots of added sugars tend to be very low in the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy.

Cutting out foods high in added sugars is a great way to lose excess weight.

It’s important to note that even foods promoted as “healthy” or “organic” can be very high in sugar. Therefore, reading nutrition labels is a must.

Congratulations to Mrs. Escorcia: Belles "Teacher of the Week"!!!!!!!
