Titan Tidbits-Staff Edition
Volume 2, Week 39: May 25-29, 2020
General Announcements:
Just a reminder, we have been entrusted by the district and state to follow a weekly work schedule Monday – Friday for 6 hours each day; 2 hours of which must be documented--the school year is not over until Friday, June 5. Having talked to most of you, we know that you are devoting more than 6 hours each day to eLearning, just as you do when we are in the building. The district office has been receiving calls and emails from parents reporting that their child's teacher(s) are no longer communicating. While we are sure this isn't you, we need to make sure we are still communicating and teaching up until Friday, June 5.

Grading
We have had many questions and concerns about students who for whatever reason have not completed and/or submitted work for Q4. If you have not already done so, call the parents. Check PowerSchool for any other phone numbers listed and reach out to those families this week. If on your next attempt to call, you do not get to speak to a parent, please let Admin know so we can call as well. We have to make every effort to communicate these concerns with our families, before Q4 ends next Thursday, May 28th.
Since the home learning environment is different for every student and family, we cannot penalize students for the work not submitted to you. If students have made any attempts to complete ANY work, regardless of how much, they should receive a P (pass)/S (K and 1st) for Q4.
If you are considering an F (fail)/N (K and 1st), for any student, Admin must be notified before next Thursday, May 28th.
This is a unique time and situation for us as educators. When making a decision on P or F, think about what’s important and how YOU will be remembered. Is it the opportunity you’ve provided for learning and the relationships built with your students or is it more important that they pass or fail?
Drop Off and Pick up for May 29 and June 1

*parent contact log -(phone calls, printed emails, conferences, you can just write weekly newsletters, any other ways you have been in contact with the parents)
