School Choice Information.

Pasco County Schools will host two Expo style events to showcase the choices and innovative programs in our county for the 19-20 school year on November 26th at J.W. Mitchell High School and November 29th at Wesley Chapel High School from 5-8 p.m. Pasco Pathways website to share with parents.

Cypress Creek has been Awarded the Safe School Sports Award!

In order to achieve Safe Sport School status, as Cypress Creek Middle High did, athletic programs must do the following:

· Create a positive athletic health care administrative system

· Provide or coordinate pre-participation physical examinations

· Promote safe and appropriate practice and competition facilities

· Plan for selection, fit function and proper maintenance of athletic equipment

· Provide a permanent, appropriately equipped area to evaluate and treat injured athletes

· Develop injury and illness prevention strategies, including protocols for environmental conditions

· Provide or facilitate injury intervention

· Create and rehearse a venue-specific Emergency Action Plan

· Provide or facilitate psychosocial consultation and nutritional counseling/education

· Be sure athletes and parents are educated of the potential benefits and risks in sports as well as their responsibilities

The ASVAB will be held at CCMHS on Thursday, November 8. The ASVAB is required for students pursuing a career in the US Military. It is also a helpful career aptitude assessment and exploration program that is available for any interested student, regardless of interest in the armed forces. Contact Mrs. Larimore to sign up.
