Week Reminders
May 22: Field Day –We are scheduled from 8:45-11. Students should wear jog-a-thon shirts (or another blue shirt) and sunscreen.
May 24th: 4th Grade Celebration/Cookout 11:45-2:00
Attire for this event is casual. Please dress for the weather and outdoor activities. Food will be served in a picnic style fashion, so please bring picnic blankets and/or lawn chairs as needed for your family (tables provided for food buffet only). You can drop blankets/chairs by the K-2 playground/bird and butterfly garden area before heading inside.
All adults attending need to pre-register to ensure a smooth and safe check-in. This is different from our food RSVP form.
All visitors and volunteers are required to have a background check, and need to pre-register. Please follow these directions for pre-registration:

Page 1: Select the green “Next Step” button.
Page 2: Simply enter your name and birthday when prompted. When it asks for "Building" select Boone Meadow Elementary. Select the green “Next Step” button.
Page 3: When prompted for “Person Visiting” use the student’s name, then type “4th GradeCelebration” when it asks for your reason for visit.
It will then ask for the date of the visit. Please use the date of the actual event.
Disregard the “If you’d like to notify anyone portion…” on this page and hit Next Step.
Page 4: Hit the green “Complete Request” button and you are done!

Coming up next!
Math: We will review our last and final unit and prepare for our final assessment. Your child will bring home a review sheet on Monday and our final assessment will be on Wednesday. They are prepared and ready. They simply need to slow down and not check out just yet.
Reading: We will continue to build our knowledge on the Indianapolis 500. They have had a lot of fun learning more about this historic event. I will also check in with individuals all week and make sure small skills are finalized across the board.
Science: We will finish up our science experiments and say good buy to all of our living crittesr.
