Carlow Chamber meeting with Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore
Co Carlow Chamber CEO Turlough O Brien was part of a delegation that met with Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore on Wednesday in Dublin to discuss supports for SME's.
During the course of the meeting there was a discussion about the role that the new Local Enterprise Offices will take and the changes in local government. Discussions also covered the commercial rates revaluation system, IDA investment in the region and the creation of the new business bank.

Chambers Ireland CSR Awards 2014
The 2014 CSR Awards will launch on Tuesday 4th March at 11am in Eircom’s head office. Applications will open and be available online from 2pm on www.csrawards.ie.
The Chambers Ireland Corporate Social Responsibility Awards were established in 2004 to recognise the work being carried out by Irish and multinational companies to improve the lives of their employees and to enhance the civic environment in which they operate.
This is a unique competition that offers the business community a chance to promote their efforts in CSR and gain recognition for best practice.
The awards are presented in a variety of categories covering all areas of CSR.
Now in their eleventh year, the Awards are run in association with the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government, partnered by Business in the Community Ireland and kindly sponsored by BAM.
