This issue of "Technology Talk" is dedicated to summertime EDUCATIONAL fun! Don't let your kids forget everything they've learned throughout the school year! Stop summer brain drain by suggesting educational adventures and activities that will make learning a fun part of their everyday summer routine!

Check out some local "art" opportunities!

Take a nature walk and visit...MISSION OAKS GARDENS!

This beautiful place is open to the public daily. Staff and Mission Oaks volunteer members and other help maintain and host these unique gardens where visitors are invited to ask questions as they meander through. Larger groups are encouraged to schedule guided tours to obtain a deeper insight into one of Zanesville’s best kept secrets.

Summer Camps at THE WORKS

The Works 2016 Summer Camp schedule for children and teens ages 3 to 17! Campers learn how to do a lot during Summer Camps at The Works, but most importantly they discover the fun of history, art, science and technology. Each inventive program captures fundamental education concepts and presents them to campers in unique, engaging and relevant ways that spark imagination and creative thinking. Muskingum County Library System

Don't forget about all the great programs from the Muskingum County Library System. From the main library located in downtown Zanesville, to the wonderful branches throughout the county. Fantastic opportunities await!

Scripting 101 - John McIntire Library

Teens...want to write a video game script? A theatre play? A movie scene? Join the library for a 3-part workshop "Scripting 101". Each session throughout the summer emphasizes a different component of screenwriting. The first session focuses on plot.

WILDZFEST featuring Dora the Explorer

Bring the whole family out to the Wilds for the annual WildZfest. The celebration is FREE to everyone and is their way of kicking off the season and thanking the community for its continued support of the Wilds.
