Employee of the Month for June - Antonio Villarreal
The Employee of the Month for June is awarded to Antonio Villarreal, Uvalde High School History Teacher. Mr. Villarreal has served the students of Uvalde CISD since 2007. His dedication and commitment find him serving the students and staff of Uvalde High School in many facets. As a teacher, Mr. Villarreal serves the students of Uvalde High School during the day, before school, after school, on Saturdays, and during the summer. Rene Garcia, Uvalde High School Student, shares, “Mr. Villarreal is always there for his students, he doesn’t turn anyone away. He cares for everyone!”
Early in the school year, Mr. Villarreal challenged his US History Students to score 90% or higher. Students embraced the challenge and surpassed 90%. On May 23rd, the result of meeting the challenge was Mr. Villarreal shaved his beautiful, thick, black hair! Mr. Villarreal shared, “I am very proud of our students! I am one to celebrate the success of our kids!

🚨Uvalde Athletic Department Giveaway...Summer Adventures!🚨
The Uvalde Athletic Department challenges Uvalde Nation to "Rep The U" during your summer break. In order to participate, you must capture a photo or video and tag my page. When you submit a photo, please provide a description such as the location, and individuals in the photo. The pictures will be used on Travellerspoint to show how many miles, and where "The U" is being represented. We want "The U" to be represented wherever you travel this summer. Be creative, and show your Uvalde pride by wearing your Coyote/Lobo gear, Coyote/Lobo flags, posters, chants, in addition to your picture. The Goal is to "Rep The U" all over the world!
The Ultimate Uvalde fan (1st place) will be awarded: $250 worth of Coyote/Lobo merchandise, a pair of reserved seating for a game of your choice, 4 sideline passes (of the same game you select for the reserved seating), 5 coyote cards, 1 autographed team football, and 1 #REPTHEU flag.
2nd Place- $175 worth of Coyote/Lobo merchandise, a pair of general admission tickets for a game of your choice, 4 sideline passes (of the same game you select for the general admission tickets), 4 coyote cards, and 1 #REPTHEU flag.
3rd Place- $125 worth of Coyote/Lobo merchandise, 2 coyote cards, and 1 #REPTHEU flag.
Best of luck to all that participate in the "Rep The U" Challenge! #REPTHEU flags will be available for purchase at our athletic office.

2019-2020 Volunteer Trainings
In preparation of the 2019-2020 School Year, Volunteer Training dates have been set. Volunteer Training must be renewed every school year. Volunteers are a valued asset to our district. Individuals wishing to volunteer on campuses and with student organizations must attend a Volunteer Training and complete a background check. The following Volunteer Trainings have been scheduled:
Wednesday, June 12th @ 5:30pm
Wednesday, June 19th @ Noon
Wednesday, June 26th @ 5:30pm
Volunteer Training takes place in the Uvalde CISD Central Office Conference Room located at 1000 N. Getty. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a training session by completing the Volunteer Training Sign Up Form at the below link:

Education/Certification:
- High school diploma and
- Must possess at least 6 college core curriculum (basics) hours
- Fingerprint process completed
- Complete District’s Substitute Teacher Orientation
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Work experience in an educational setting preferred
