Important Reminders
Carline Procedures: Please read through these important reminders so that we can keep everyone safe. Thank you!
- You cannot turn left out of the carline. WBPD is monitoring this and have written tickets for turning left. Please save yourself the money and turn right! :)
- Make sure your students are dressing warmly as they may be standing outside for a few minutes before we bring them inside at 8:55 AM.
- Please make sure your student sits on drivers side rear seat and not in front seat.
- We realize the carline can take several minutes and appreciate your patience. Please help us keep everyone safe & not cause a potential accident by trying to jump the line.
- Students should only exit the vehicle when they see an adult present outside.
Extra Set of Clothes: With the weather changing, it is important that your student has an extra set of clothes available in their locker in case they need to change after recess. This will help us avoid calling you for additional clothes in the event that your student needs to change. Thank you!
Appropriate Clothing for Outdoor Recess: In addition to sending a set of extra clothes, please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Students go outside every day as long as it is not raining.
Halloween Parties and Parade
Halloween classroom parties will take place on Friday, October 28th.
Students will come to school in their “every day” school clothes and will change into their costumes after lunch.
Costume rules: no blood/gore, no weapons, no masks, costumes must adhere to school dress code (no bare midriffs, short bottoms, etc.)
We are allowing parents to attend the Halloween parade outside. If you would like to join us, the parade will kick off around 2:15 PM. You should park at Prince of Peace and walk over to the front or side of the building. Please keep the sidewalk clear for our students to parade!
Some classes are allowing a limited number of parents to come into the classroom and volunteer during the parties.
Your child's teacher may have sent a sign-up genius for donation items and individual jobs/tasks within the classroom for parents to participate in. Thank you for your contributions!
Monday, October 31st: Wear black & orange and/or Halloween apparel. We will not wear costumes on this day.
If your child does not celebrate Halloween, we will provide an alternate activity for them. Please contact your child's teacher to let them know.
