Important Messages from Administration
Reminder: November 2 is a PD day and students will not attend that day.
No pets are allowed at sporting events at Linkhorne Middle School.
Please utilize the designated car lane in the morning to drop your student off at school. Please do not go to the second row because this will have your student crossing through traffic.
Jag Color Jog
We are getting close to our big event! If your child hasn't registered or begun fundraising now is the time! Our top fundraisers will win big money and there are lots of other prizes to win on the morning announcements just by registering to participate on November 5th. Remember - this is just for fun! Your child does NOT need to be a "runner" to join in the fun. Check out all the info on our website or register with the paper registration from your Jag Color Jog packet!
GET INVOLVED! Please help us make our Jag Color Jog a success! We need all hands on deck to make it a fun event for the kids. Come join in - you can do anything from dropping of some snacks to joining in and throwing color! We Need You!!
Veteran's Day at LMS!
Would you want to help LMS recognize our local Veterans and Service Members on November 11th?
This year LMS will be recognizing the men and women that have (or are currently) serving our country through a flag display, but we need YOUR help! Our goal is for EACH FLAG to honor a specific service member. Please FILL OUT THIS FORM to submit a name of a service member you would like to honor. This opportunity is available to anyone (teacher, staff, family member, community member, etc) that has someone in their life that is special to them and would like to honor their service.
Submissions MUST be completed by Friday, November 5th in order for the name to be placed on the flag(s).
**November 11th will also be a RED WHITE& BLUE day for all staff and students so make sure to wear your best patriotic attire!

Football will play its final game of the season on Monday, November 1st at Brookville at 5:30.
Boys and Girls Basketball tryouts will begin on Tuesday, November 9th after school till 5:15 PM.
Cheerleading will also hold tryouts beginning on Tuesday, November 9th after school till 5:15 PM
CHANGE IN WRESTLING
Wrestling tryouts will now start on November 16th after school till 5:15 PM
Everyone will need a VHSL athletic physical dated after May 1, 2021, to be able to try out for any sports. No exceptions! To be eligible the student must also have passed at least five classes the first nine weeks of this school year.
Picture Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28th!
8th grade parents can purchase a tribute ad for their students in this year's yearbook. Limited space is available!

2022 Musical Audition Information
Madagascar Jr Auditions are tomorrow! Please make sure to submit your virtual audition (instructions on our google classroom) before Thursday, Oct. 28th. Overdue Library Books Reminder
Important Reminder from the Attendance Office
Regular school attendance is necessary for success in school. Students are expected to be in their classroom by 8:10 every day.
If your child is absent, a written note must be sent in within 48 hours of his/her return to school stating the reason and the dates of the absence.

My School Bucks for Chromebook Insurance
Insurance is not required but highly recommended. Only $20 vs. the nearly $400 to replace a lost or damaged item.
You will need your student's # to purchase and you will need to pick LMS as the school.
Chromebook Insurance Information
ADP - Additional Damage Protection (Chromebook Insurance)
Families are responsible for the cost of repairs or replacing the device. Families can purchase device insurance to help reduce these potential costs for $20. Insurance may be purchased through MySchoolBucks on the school website or by dropping off a check to the school bookkeeper.
If you choose to purchase the ADP coverage for the Chromebook for $20 a year. This coverage is as follows:
1st incident of accidental damage or loss of Chromebook: No cost. However, if the equipment is lost or stolen, the student and/or parent/guardian must file a police report with the School Resource Officer within 48 hours. The student and/or parent/guardian must immediately report to school personnel any damage to or the loss or malfunctioning of the equipment.
2nd incident of accidental damage or loss of Chromebook: Repair cost or 50% of the replacement, whichever is less
3rd and subsequent incident of accidental damage or loss: 100% of repair or replacement, whichever is less
NOTE: The charger and bag are not covered by the ADP.
The optional insurance will be available beginning August 23 via My School Bucks or direct payment through the school Bookkeeper. Students will have until 5pm, Friday, September 17th to purchase insurance.
Students who purchased insurance on their currently-issued device from last year, are still covered until 5pm, Tuesday August 31st or until they receive a new device, whichever comes first.
