Gompers ...#180daysofwhy..#students
Let's give them a HIGH FIVE: Custodial, Cafeteria, Recreation and Office Teams
THEORY of ACTION
Team Gompers
I hope this Monday message finds you well.....
As shared, our district-level office is still designing a continuum of options for students for Fall 2020 and what it might look like and sound like in daily application. As of late, I have been rejuvenated with this "new narrative" of possibilities for educators around the world. This new narrative is a blank canvas for unlimited OPPORTUNITIES to design an even greater GOMPERS community of Teaching and Learning. I am confident that collectively TEAM Gompers will rise even higher to this new challenge and paint a MASTERPIECE !!! for the students in whom we serve!
Our 20-21 K-8 Master Schedule and teaching assignments continue to evolve, it is embedded for your review: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gGOor6u8AMa9soCKkuCJBd79t_GhjX8zbweOLzdTU8U/edit
We will have EOY Reflection and Growth Metings. These meetings typically are more quantitative with analysis of student data sets, however, this year the questions are more reflective and qualitative in nature. The meeting signup times along with the google form to complete have been shared with you and also embedded here for easy access:

*Critical Parent and Teacher Surveys: As we prepare for various options for the next school year, it’s critical that we receive feedback from teachers and parents this year. Please encourage the families in your class to complete the surveys. Teachers we also need for you to complete the survey as well. If you have somehow missed the survey letter that was emailed from the district, please look for the email from Long Beach Unified that should have arrived last Thursday, or feel free to use this link to access the letter. The survey windows should be open next Wednesday, 5/20.
*Face Masks on Campus: Please be mindful of wearing a Face Mask when on campus. To assist you with understanding the need and the guidelines when wearing a Face Mask, please see the information from the City of Long Beach.
In celebration of our Classified employee....a special "Box Lunch" will be delivered to our classified employee's homes on 5/22.
Have a great week #GATORNATION .......let's finish STRONG!!!
Respectfully,
Dr. Miller
