PRINCIPAL AND VICE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear BSE Community,
We hope this letter finds you well. The end of the year is coming quickly to a close and we want each of you to know that we recognize the sacrifices you are making to ensure your children continue to learn, regardless of the difficulties of being in quarantine. We are asked frequently about next year and what school will look like in the fall. We wish we knew. What we do know is that the District is working on developing several plans based on different scenarios. When there is more certainty about what a school day for our students will look like, you will receive information from the District. There is no doubt that this uncertainty can cause stress in all of us. As soon as we receive information from the Governor and our District, we will make sure it is shared with the BSE community so that plans can be made.
Tomorrow, Thursday, May 28th, Mr. Hiller will be at the school to pass out Special Education packets. This will happen between the hours of 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. You should have been contacted by your child’s Special Education teacher if you are a family needing to pick up a packet. If you are unsure, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
The staff is excited to announce that we will have one more staff parade on June 10th at 10:00 AM. Maps and information will be sent out to families soon. A HUGE thank you to Melissa Gatchell who graciously volunteered to lead the parade once again. Thank you!
If you borrowed a Chromebook from school for remote learning, please note that you will not need to return the Chromebook to school before the fall. Library books will also be returned in the fall. If you are moving or will not be able to return your Chromebook or library books in September, please contact Janet Maza or Jim Hiller at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This week our new kindergarten families begin receiving Paw Prints and BSCO News! We want to welcome our newest of families as they begin their journey as a Bonny Slope Bobcat! At different times we would share information about getting together over the summer for playdates and information gathering. While we cannot have a proper Kindergarten Round-Up or summer playdates, we want you to know that we are excited to have you join our family and look forward to the time when we can meet you in person. Welcome!!!
Wishing you a great week!
Janet Maza and Jim Hiller
