Happy Friday, Las Positas Lions~
We just finished 11 weeks of school! Great work~
Remember there is NO School on Monday, the 1st. It is a student free staff development day. And, it will be a Minimum Day on Friday the 5th.
Starting November, we will be focusing on the IB Learner Profile of being "Caring."
Students who are CARING show empathy, compassion and respect towards the needs and feelings of others. They have a personal commitment to service, and act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment. They remember to treat others how they themselves would like to be treated.
Even during stressful times, being caring and kind to others will actually benefit us. Take a look at the following TedTalk. So work with your child on how they can be caring and lend a helping hand to someone else.
This Week Was Filled with So Much Fun and Excitement~
Label Everything~
There is a rack full of jackets and a bin with water bottles. On Fridays we will put out the Lost and Found Rack so that if your child has lost things, you can look thru them.
To not lose items, please label every student belongings (Student Name, teacher, room) brought to school.
