April Literacy Contest
Will You Help Us?
There were many amazing entries in the April Literacy Contest, and the committee is having a difficult time declaring a winner. We've narrowed the entries down to the top 4, and now we need your help picking the winner.
Students were tasked with writing their own "Where I'm From" poem in the style of George Ella Lyons. Some things students were asked to consider were sights, sounds, tastes, smells, experiences, objects, events, and other memories from their pasts. Beyond modeling their poems off of Lyon's original poem, there were no requirements for length, format, rhyme scheme, etc.
