Note from Mrs. Bland
We are thrilled to have our school filled with children next week from Kindergarten through 6th grade!
We continue to look at our procedures to ensure that our school community is safe as we participate with in-person learning.
Before you continue reading please watch this video about our pick-up and drop off procedures. You can also access the video in Spanish.
A few reminders (These have been updated!):
- Please stay in your car during parent drop off to help the traffic flow
- Gaiter masks are not permitted in school
- Our first bell rings at 7:35 and at 7:50 school starts. Please drop off your students before 7:50. Paddock staff begin supervision at 7:35.
- During pick- up please have your child's name in passenger window
- Parents must wear a mask on school grounds (drop off/pick up)
- Parents need to wait for their children away from the exit doors. If you are walking to pick up a student by door 1 please wait by the little red library and if you are walking to pick up a student by door 12 please wait on the basketball courts.
If you have questions in regards to our rolling re-entry please visit our district website.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Bland
IN-PERSON PROCEDURES
As we transition to in-person learning there are a few procedures that we would like our families to help with. Please remember to be patient and parents must remain in their cars.
MORNING ARRIVAL
CAR RIDERS
-Please have your child’s lanyard on and signed. Students need to have their lanyard signed for entrance into the school.
-Please pull all the way forward to allow for a continuous flow of cars.
-Parents will need to remain in their car when their student(s) exit the vehicle.
-Children need to be ready to exit the vehicle, with their backpack and lunch bag ready when you pull into the parking lot.
-Students must have their mask on when exiting the vehicle.
-All students will have their temperatures checked and will sanitize their hands upon entry.
-We ask that students remain an airplane arms length away from others.
BUS RIDERS
-Students riding the bus will have an assigned seat the entire year.
-Students must wear their mask on the bus.
-Students will have their temps taken prior to entering the building.
-Students will sanitize their hands prior to entering the building.
-Students must wear their lanyards and staff will ensure there is a parent signature on the card inside the lanyard.
DISMISSAL
-Students will begin dismissing at a staggered time to ensure social distancing.
-Students will load buses and sit in their assigned seats.
-Students that walk home or ride their bikes will be dismissed at 2:25.
-Parents will pull their cars up in the car line, and remain in their vehicle.
-Staff will be holding the QR code for you to scan.
-Parents will scan the QR code when they arrive to the parent pick-up area and fill out a google form on their device.
-Once students are safely loaded into the car, parents may pull-out of the car line safely.
If you have children that overlap with other grades pick one drop off/pick up location. We do not recommend that parents park their cars and walk their children to the school. If you must do this you need to wear a mask and please swiftly walk your child to a paw print and continue to walk to your car.

Picture Day for Virtual Students
Picture day is going to look a little different this year. We have decided to offer an outdoor picture day for our Paddock virtual students with available times Friday, October 16th from 2 to 4:30. To sign up for a picture time please click on the link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080A4FA4AA22A3FF2-picturedd link .
Please see the flier below for how to order pictures through the Color Portraits website. All orders must be placed by 5 PM on Friday, October 16th.
Pictures will be taken by Door 4 and the following guidelines must be followed:
- Please arrive at your scheduled time slot. The time slots are in 2 minute increments.
- Please display the student's full name and time slot in the front window on the passenger side.
- Volunteers will be directing vehicles so please follow their directions. Do not park in the parking lot.
- We absolutely cannot take any walk-ups.
- Parents/siblings must stay in their vehicle. Only the student will be escorted to the photographer by a volunteer.
- Students must wear a mask. They will be advised by a volunteer when to take their mask off for their picture. The mask must then be worn back to their vehicle.
- Once your child is safely buckled in your vehicle please exit promptly so we can keep the line moving and be ready for the next group.
At this time, we will be scheduling a picture packet pickup once we have received them from Color Portraits. You are not obligated to do pictures however, this will be the picture used in the yearbook. If you do not have your child's picture taken there will not be a photo next to their name in the 2020-2021 yearbook. Please note that at this time, we do not have a retake picture time scheduled.
This is definitely brand new territory for both our school and for the photographers, so please be patient and understanding.
If you have any questions you can contact Chris Kane at kanefam4@comcast.net.
