Seeking Used Technology Devices
As Anderson-Shiro CISD is embracing the tenets of the Creating a New Vision for Public Education document, many classrooms are moving towards a digital learning environment. Currently the district is piloting Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) in classrooms and teachers are receiving training on how to utilize various student hand-held technology devices to engage students digitally in becoming creators of knowledge. In order to work towards every student having a device to use for instructional purposes, the district is seeking used technology devices such as iPhones, iPods, iPads, Smartphones, Tablets with internet capabilities, any Smartphone, and laptops. All devices need to be in good working conditions and the district will ensure that all devices are reset to factory settings prior to putting them in classrooms. In addition to seeking devices, the district is also seeking used device covers. If you are interested in donating a technology device and/or cover, please contact the office at one of the campuses and/or drop off your donated items to a campus office staff member.
