How do you like to receive appreciation? Do you know how others around you like to receive appreciation?

Do you sometimes wonder why your friends and family do not appreciate what you do to show your appreciation and love for them? We are noticing a lack of appreciation among our students, staff, families, and truthfully, across society, but the good news is we are seeing many well intended words and actions! So, as we are getting ready to kick-off our 'Reset Day' on Monday, November 29th, we want to encourage families to find out what each individual's 'Love Language' is so that they can make the most of their efforts!

Take the Love Language quiz at Learn More About Yourself (5lovelanguages.com)

The quiz can be taken by both adults and children! We hope this tool helps others!

28 Paulding County Schools Among Best for Grades K-8: U.S. News

Our STEM theme centers around our students who are 'Changing Our World'!

Our students recently had their first STEM Showcase and they invested LOTS of time and effort into their PBL presentations! They have launched their new driving questions and are busy drafting plans and doing research!

Be sure to ask your student what their PBL is about...they will appreciate you asking!

All grade levels have a targeted time on Friday afternoons (2:50-3:30) to work on their projects with their group. We are always in need of volunteers who can help by listening to their ideas and being the 'wind beneath their Raven wings' to help their project become what they envision it to be. Are you interested in helping by lending your ear? If so, email CCarson@paulding.k12.ga.us

And stay tuned for our next Showcase date!

Way to go, Ravens!

Water Bottles

Students are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles that can be refilled at our water fountains.

Thanks to one of our Partners in Education, the Lonati Law Firm, our students received a refillable water bottle that they can use at school.

Student Attendance

As you know we have entered into a different year this year. We need each of you to know and understand that IF YOUR STUDENT IS SICK OR NOT FEELING WELL - PLEASE PLEASE KEEP THEM HOME! There are NO attendance incentives this year and we are taking parent notes for student absences. All of our teachers are posting work to Canvas, so if your student has to miss a day or two, they can access their assignments from home without any issues. All of our students know how to access Canvas and how to get to their assignments - this has been reviewed in their classes.

IF SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME HAS TESTED POSITIVE OR IS POSSIBLY POSITIVE - DO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENT TO SCHOOL - keep them home to isolate with you to await your test results up to the 14 days of quarantine. If they are in your home and someone else in your home is positive, then your student is a close contact and SHOULD NOT BE AT SCHOOL! You can call to notify us for attendance purposes. The absences will be excused and students will be able to access their assignments through Canvas.

Please help by monitoring your child daily for any symptoms, and if in doubt, keep them home and call our Front Office to let us know or if you have any questions.

For more information relating to PCSD and COVID guidance, please refer to https://www.paulding.k12.ga.us/Page/45777

Lockers - go online and pay

Parents, students are able to rent a locker the year. Go online and pay $5 or send in $5 with your child. If paying by check or cash, students will need to see Ms. Baderstcher to pay and get their receipt.

Teachers will be sending out communication through Canvas Announcements this year instead of Remind. Please make sure you keep your information updated in Parent Portal, but also be sure to sign-up for a Parent Observer account for your child's Canvas account. Below is some information to help you obtain the pairing code you will need to view your child's work submissions and assignments in Canvas. If you have any questions relating to your child's class in Canvas, then please contact that teacher.
