Cooper Mountain Memo

Latest Updates

September 2, 2020

Dear Parents and Community of Cooper Mountain,

I was very excited to welcome our teachers back on Monday! They are working feverishly to be prepared to welcome and support your children in just a week and a half. Even though we continue to exist in unprecedented times, the staff is excited to see you and the students. I have heard words and phrases from staff such as "grateful," "excited," "a new adventure," "a year of opportunity" and "this is going to be a great year!"

I know many of you are anxious to learn more about particular day schedules, screen time, how teachers will build relationships with students, and more. Please know that I am sharing the information with you just as soon as I receive it.

I appreciate all of the kind words you have sent, the offers of grace when I haven't responded immediately and just knowing that you are supporting us as much as we are hoping we support you.

With gratitude,

PS - If I haven't responded to an email from you, would you kindly send it again? My Inbox has been exploding over the past two weeks.

Back To School Night/Meet the Teacher

With school beginning remotely this year, we have decided to combine Meet the Teacher with Back to School Night. This will allow you and your child to see who their teacher is while simultaneously learning about the schedule, curriculum, attendance and more. Teachers will be meeting as teams since they will be collaborating and teaching with consistency.

You will receive an email introduction from your classroom teacher tomorrow afternoon. This will include a Zoom link for Back to School Night.

Only one session will be offered, but it will be recorded. This is in case you have more than one child at the school. You will have access to the recordings, so that you may learn about the other classes at your leisure.

Specialists, Special Education Staff and Support Staff will also be creating videos to be shared.

Class Lists

Class Lists were supposed to have been available to you this morning on Parent Vue, however it seems a glitch in our system allowed many of you to see the lists yesterday. Please know that access to the entire class list is not something that should have been allowed our of respect for others. I was told that there were postings of class lists on social media, but I was unable to locate this. If you or someone you know has posted an entire class list, please kindly remove it. Thank you.
