Principal's Message
At this time of year, school districts begin gathering information from stakeholders in order to create the Local Control and Accountability Plan. Your input is valued and needed. The link in Upcoming Events will allow you to complete a survey that will help the district planning process.
Our students are part of the first ever volleyball team at BHS! See more information in our athletic section below.
Grades will be available for viewing in Aeries on 3/28/2023. Parents and students may view their grades in their Aeries Portal account.
All parents with a valid email account may log in to their account clicking HERE
If you do not remember your password simply click on the "forgot password" and follow the instructions that will be sent to your registered email on file.
Students may log into their Aeries account from their clever and click on the Aeries symbol.
If students forgot their password simply click on forgot password and follow the instructions that will be sent to their student email.

We especially want to invite you to our drama department's spring play, "Clue" on May 11-13.

LCAP ENGAGEMENT SURVEY
Thank you for your support of our district. BUSD continuously engages parents, students, employees, and the community to monitor the progress of our goals to improve student achievement and district services.
The BUSD Board of Education and District Leadership are committed to ensuring our resources are used to meet all students' needs. Our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) addresses the district's vision for student learning, outlines actions and annual goals, and demonstrates how its budget supports those goals.
As an involved stakeholder, you are invited to share your input and suggestions to evaluate our offerings and inform decision-making for our 2023-2024 LCAP.

Sports Update for the week of 3/20-3/24
Boys' Volleyball had its first two matches in school history on Tuesday, March 14th at Del Lago Academy in Escondido! They had a great showing and had many volleys and showed their awesome potential!! Keep up the great work guys!
Volleyball:
Monday, March 20th at Mt. Empire @6pm
Tuesday, March 21st at Del Lago Academy tournament @ 4:00 pm (second match to follow)
Thursday, March 23rd at Gompers Prep @ 4:30p
Boys' Baseball and Girls' Softball weren't able to play any games last week due to poor field conditions and rain. They are looking to get back at it next week weather permitting!
Baseball:
Tuesday, March 21st vs. Coastal Academy- Location TBD (rain in the forecast)
Thursday, March 23rd vs. Guajome @ Pala at 5pm
Girls' Softball:
Thursday, March 23rd vs. Guajome at Pala at 5pm
Friday, March 24th vs. Guajome at Pala at 3:30pm
Track and Field has their first meet this week!!
It will be at O'Farrell High School in San Diego on Thursday, 3/23 at 3:30 pm! Go Legion!!
Boys' Basketball and Soccer will be having a banquet at BHS on Friday, March 24th. The teams and their families are invited to attend! The guys will be playing some pick-up basketball and soccer games and food will be served at 5 pm. An awards ceremony will follow the meal. We are having a taco truck come- BHS athletes don't need to pay and adults will be $15 and kids $10. An email with further information will be sent out.

Ask for help! If you are struggling, it is okay to ask for help. I know it can be hard to reach out, at the same time it can feel good to lean on someone else for support. Whether you need help with your homework or you just need help to talk through a problem. Not sure who to talk to? Check out Counseling Corner for several resources.
