Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Lewis

How did Mrs. Lewis come to teach at CCA? She moved to Clinton for her husband’s job. In the process he had seen the school from the highway, and told her to check it out. Mrs. Lewis then submitted her resume and CCA happened to have an opening. Mrs. Lewis is married to Daniel. They have three children, Kala, Kelsi, and Abigail, two granddaughters and two grandsons. She attended high school at Butler High School. She then went on to attend college at the University of Central Missouri.

She has been teaching for 22 years, 14 of those being at CCA. She is currently teaching K-5. Mrs. Lewis doesn't have a favorite Bible verse, but God brings different verses to her at different times. She is currently studying the book of Samuel, and Samuel 2:2 has gotten her attention. She enjoys when her whole family is together. She also loves getting to spend time with her grandkids, being outside with the animals, gardening, mowing and taking ranger rides. Mrs. Lewis enjoys traveling to barrel races and going to the family farm in northern Missouri. --Audrey

Peace Character Trait

The character trait for the month of November is peace. We asked three students what peace means to them. Madelyn said that, to her, peace is when everybody comes together and gets along. Isabella said peace is when everything is calm and restful. Charlee said that peace is waiting for each other and showing peace towards each other. Peace is a very important character trait to have. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says, “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” --Marlee

Operation Christmas Child: Box Drop Off

At the beginning of the week, a few of our high school students got the opportunity to deliver the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to the drop off location at First Baptist Church in Clinton. CCA was able to put together more than 60 shoeboxes this year. Thank you to all who helped with Operation Christmas Child. The amazing journey of your donated shoebox begins now.

This week our survey says question was sweet verses salty. We interviewed 5th through 10th grades and out of 78 students, 49 chose sweet and 29 picked salty.
