You have made it through the holiday break and you have started a new semester, now it is time to think about February. It is well know that October and February are the two hardest months for teachers. So, what do you have planned to show your teachers how much you appreciate them?

Here are a few ideas:

I saw this a Creekview Middle School. The box is located in the front office. Students and teachers write what they appreciate about a staff member and put it in the box. The announcement crew reads the appreciation notes on the announcements. The fabulous idea takes powerful notes to the next level.

April Emerson, Assistant Principal at Pioneer Heritage Middle School, Tweeted this awesome idea back in October and there are so many fun ways you can use or adapt this fun activity for your teachers.

• Incorporate fun prizes

Karen Brown, Principal at McLean 6th, shared this with me in October. This was a fun way for her to engage her staff during October. There are so many ways you can use or adapt this fun idea.
