Weekly Wrangler

January 13th, 2023

~ Message from Ms. Triplett ~

Wrangler Families,

We are pleased to announce that Lang Ranch Elementary was awarded the prestigious 2023 California Distinguished Schools Award! This distinction remains one of the important ways to celebrate exceptional schools for their innovation, talent, and success in supporting students. We are so proud of our teachers, staff, students, and families who make Lang Ranch such an amazing school.

Looking to this week, there is no school on Monday. Wednesday is Science Night. We will have two presentations (choose one to attend), one beginning at 5:00pm and the second presentation at 6:30pm. Hands-on activities will be available for students from 6:00-7:00pm. Also on Wednesday is our Blood Drive and our January SSC meeting at 3pm in the library. We hope you can join us. This Friday, we are excited to have our 3rd-5th grade Spelling Bee.

Happy Trails!

Ms. Triplett

Minimizing Classroom Interruptions!

In order to minimize classroom interruptions, we have implemented procedures with forgotten items. We are receiving a large amount of deliveries for lunches, instruments, water bottles, library books, clothing and backpacks. Please encourage your students to be prepared and check for their belongings before leaving your house. We appreciate your support!

~ Lunches

Please note that lunches for grades 1-5 that are delivered to the school will be placed on the table outside of the cafeteria. Students should collect them from the table. They will not be delivered to the classroom.

~ Instruments

Forgotten Instruments will be kept in the front office. Students can come to the front to see if their parent has dropped it off.

~ Messages to students

If you need to get a message to your student during the day, please contact the teacher directly.

Keeping our Wrangles Safe!

Glass Containers

We have had several glass containers shatter on the grounds in the last few weeks. Please send your students to school with containers not made from glass. This includes items for their lunch box or water bottles. Thank you for your support in keeping our Wranglers safe!

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

  • Students may not be dropped off or picked up after school through the front entrance!
  • Please be mindful and DO NOT park in Staff parking spots to drop off students. Those are reserved for staff members only.

A few friendly reminders for the drop-off and pick-up line:

  1. If you are using the drop-off and pick-up lines, please pull all the way forward and do not leave your vehicle.
  2. All students using the drop-off and pick-up line should be ready to leave the car with their backpacks.
  3. There is NO parking in the drop-off and pick-up lines.
  4. All students should enter campus through our gates on Sandhurst and Knightsbridge.

Lost & Found

Lost and Found is located by the Multi Purpose Room. Students may check on the light blue cart for lost items. Parents may enter through the double doors before or after school to check for lost items.

Please do not enter through the front of the school to look for lost items.

The items will be donated at the end of each month.
