Canvas Training Going Strong
Thank you to all of the teachers that are utilizing Canvas. I hope you've noticed the increased student engagement, ease in allowing students to self-pace and your ability to facilitate need-based groups.
IMPORTANT: IF YOU DID NOT ATTEND CANVAS TRAINING...begin to backup any files on Amplify Playlist Builder. (PLB) It will NOT be accessible after May 23. Make note of what worked for your organizationally speaking. If a particular playlist was the perfect match for a unit, organize it the same way in Canvas! It's easy to migrate your items over. I will focus on how to accomplish this next week. Meet me in the spots designated on my schedule below if you need help with this.
Let's work together!
As always, view the PLEF Instructional Coaching Menu to pick from a variety of resources to help you and your students grow.
- Monday: Allen - PLB transfer session in media center or by request in classroom.
- Tuesday: Guilford - PLB transfer session in media center or by request in classroom.
- Wednesday: PD at Laughlin
- Thursday: Guilford - PLB transfer session in media center or by request in classroom.
- Friday: Good Friday
Engaging EOG/EOC Prep and Review Activities
Have you Kahoot-ed to death? If you are looking for an alternative, look no further than Quizizz! The nice part about this version is that the questions do not appear on the device as a whole group. It can also be assigned as homework! Check it out! Let me know if you use Quizizz as I'd love to see it in action at your school.
Great Teaching and Learning Spotlight
Great teaching and learning is occurring in every classroom in your building. Your peers are your greatest resource. Visit their classroom during planning to keep your ideas fresh. If you have something you'd like to share, email it to me and I'll feature it in my weekly updates. Check out how these power teachers are using Canvas this week. Great job!
Need 2 Knows
Testing season is upon us, but have no fear! GoNoodle has lots of activities to help calm your students’ nerves so that they’re ready to test their best! Check out some of my favorites:
· Airtime: deep breathing disguised as fun!
· Super Scooper: a silly stretch led by Maximo the monkey
· Chillax: a slower-paced hit by Koo Koo Kanga Roo
