Getting Ready for UN Day!
Austria!
Dear Parents,
Thank you for attending your child’s recent parent teacher conference. We strive for 99.9% participation because we know how important it is for your child’s success that we work together on their behalf.
As a school family, we work hard to make sure important information is shared and future goals are set. We believe in working as a team and knowing that we can count on each other makes a big difference in the life of each child. It helps build consistency, understanding and it creates a relationship that fosters growth for us all. Each child bring strengths and weaknesses that make them unique and special and as a team we can work together to guide them towards becoming the best person they are meant to be. Our doors are always open to help support you and your child through this journey of continuous learning.
On Tuesday, October 11th we had the opportunity to see a group called Zigzag Puff in our PAC. The kids had a blast with this performance.
Special note: Due to our short week, we will not be able to upload many pictures!

INTERNATIONAL WEEK
October 17th – 21st
International week is just around the corner and we would appreciate your help as we celebrate and learn a little more about our diversity and cultures.
During this special week each classroom will represent a country;
PK4.1 will be representing AUSTRIA.
Throughout the week we will be doing several activities to learn more about the country our classroom is representing, and the countries our students are from.
We need your help for a particular activity we will be doing on Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th of October. Please have your child bring in an image or small replica of an iconic place/landmark of their country. Talk to them about what it is and why it is important so that they can bring it to school and give a small presentation to their peers (show and tell style).
International Day is Wednesday October 19th and we have a busy day of activities planned.
· On this day, students should come dressed wearing the colors or national dress of their home country.
· In the morning students will rotate between the PK4 classrooms, learning a little about the country each class is focusing on.
· At 10am we invite you to join us as PK3 & PK4 have their own International Parade around school before sitting to watch the rest of Elementary parade at 10:30am.
· Afterwards, we will have a cultural food celebration in our classroom to share typical food or beverages from our countries. Please contact our room mom Maqui who is coordinating.
*If you are able to help with props or assist in decorating our classroom to reflect our country please also coordinate with Maqui. Thank you!
