Student Code of Conduct
An administrator will be reviewing the WCPSS Student Code of Conduct Handbook with all students. Please take a moment to discuss the book with your child and their role in ensuring our school is a safe place to learn. After reviewing the handbook with your child, please sign and return the last page of the book to your child's classroom teacher. Thank you.
Boosterthon Info!
It is Boosterthon time and we are gearing up for our pep rallies to kick off the season. Look for more information in your child's folder this week.
PTA Funds at Work!
This year, our PTA has helped increase the security of our school by providing us with Watch-Dawg! These devices allow for our classroom doors to remain locked, but yet allow for students to come and go throughout the day. In an emergency situation the Watch-Dawg can be easily released from the door and allow the door to close securely without hassle. We are thankful for the PTA's support as this will increase student safety in the event of an emergency.
PTA Liaison
The PTA Grade Level Liaison is a new position that our PTA is developing to help better connect the PTA with our parent/family community. The main objective of our liaison role is to facilitate communication and support our PTA. The more ways we can reach our families the better! Eventually our goal is to have one liaison per grade and track, but at the current moment we have one liaison per grade across all tracks. Being this is a new role the tasks could change throughout the year as it grows or needs change. Our PTA is still looking for 3rd and 5th Grade Liaisons. If interested, please contact Holly Phillips for more information via the PTA email. WestLakePTA@gmail.com
