Valentine's Day 2016...Fun!
I appreciate all the sweet gifts that made my day...flowers, candy, gift cards, cookie mix and spatulas, and kitchen towels with a Valentine theme....oh my! I am one lucky teacher!

For xtra math website, students use my email: belinda.wells@leanderisd.org, then use the pin number from the download.
A note from Mrs. Wells
Our trickster tales are ready. We will be presenting them to Mrs. Fry's library classes Feb. 16, and 18th.
Please join us if you like. The students are becoming amazing story tellers.
Monday, the 16th, we will be in the library presenting to first graders at 12:05-12:55
and then again at 1:45-2:35 to second graders.
Wednesday, the 18th, we will be reading to 3rd graders at 8:35-9:25 and then again to kindergarten from 12:55-1:45.
Math Homework
1. Minimum of 20 problems completed with 70% accuracy on Prodigy. I've uploaded the following lessons:
* estimating volume and adding
*estimating mass and adding
*conversion table from hour to minutes and seconds
*elapsed time with clocks
*elapsed time
2. Do at least ONE session of extra math (multiplication). Students are forgetting to practice their facts...remind them to work on xtra math. Mrs. Reim is taking grades on their practice.
Reading
1. Complete one RAZ story from their book room that is read orally and tested with the score of 70% or higher. Please encourage your child to go back and look for the answers to the questions.
Spelling
Unit 19
Spelling with prefixes and understanding how the prefix changes word meaning.
I have also assigned lessons in Spelling City to help them practice. Usernames and passwords are a download on the website and at the top of this page.
Social Studies
Science
We are becoming ecologists of our schoolyard. This week we studied environmental factors and SPIDERS!
