Principal Update
I am impressed everyday with how excited students are to be back at school. Teachers are working on incorporating more engagement strategies into their CKLA lessons as the lessons are a lot of direct instruction and teacher talk.
Students are finishing up the first quarter of school on Oct 15th. Reports cards will be going home on Oct 20th in Tuesday Folders.
Conferences will be held Oct 12-16. Classroom teachers sent home slips in Tuesday folders, however, with the school going to Tier 4 on Tuesday 10/6 those slips couldn't be returned the following day. Your child's teacher has been communicating with you parents via e-mail to confirm conferences. Please check your e-mail to confirm conferences with your classroom teacher.
I have enjoyed getting to know many of the families and students over the course of the start of the year. I want to remind you that I have an open door policy and welcome you to stop in and talk with me. I look forward to a wonderful 2nd quarter of learning.
Online Book Fair Oct 12-25, 2020 This year we are hosting a virtual book fair. A flyer went home last week in the Tuesday Folder. All order ship home. Food Service If you have a child with a food allergy that the food service department should know about, please fill out the dietary information sheet and return to the office. This form can be requested in the office to send home with your child. | Attendance Thank you for notifying the office when your child is going to be absent, please remember to try and schedule various appointments on Friday's so your student doesn't miss instruction. We understand that sometimes this can be difficult but we appreciate you making every effort to make it work. More to come on how attendance will work with Tier 4 (remote learning) if we ever have to do it for longer than the 2 days. Reminder that when you check out your child for appointments, please don't forget to sign them out in the office, as this helps us know when and if they returned for the day. Thank you. | Red Ribbon Week October 26-29 will be Red Ribbon Week. As a school we will be having some activities and dress up days around Red Ribbon. More to come on this in the coming weeks. |
