GIRLS OF STEM: Our next meeting is today from 4:30 to 5:15 pm in Room 1149. Applications and club fees for all new members are due at this meeting. We are also having Collin College Engineering Professor, Gena Martin, come and give a guest presentation.
HOSA: There will be a HOSA meeting this Friday during both A&B Block lunch. Come to room 1100 to hear the guest speaker.
JASPER CHEERLEADER OR MASCOT TRYOUTS: Come and find out how you can try out to become a Jasper Cheerleader or Mascot for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year! Tryout packets are available in the foyer near the cafeteria entrance during Block lunch – come by early for a quick information sharing, question & answer session with cheerleaders and coaches.
YOUTH POLICE ACADEMY: The Youth Police Academy will start its spring session on March 2nd. If you are interested in the Canine Unit, SWAT, Bomb Squad, CSI or a tour of the jail, then pick up an application. It’s all free and refreshments are provided. For more information please contact Officer McClelland.
AVID: Students accepted into AVID need to get their contract to Ms. Moreno by Thursday, Feb.18th. Students must also meet with their counselor to add AVID into their schedule.
STUCO OFFICERS: Attention 9th graders! Are you interested in being an officer, also known Executive Council, for Student Congress? Be a part of this great organization, and pick up your 2016- 2017 Executive Council application, starting February 17th. You can pick yours up outside of Ms. Mallory’s room, or in the Student Center. Things to keep in mind when applying: You must be a current 9th grader going into 10th grade. You do not have to currently be in the STUCO club to apply to be an officer. All applications are due March 4th. If you have any questions, feel free to ask Ms. Mallory in room 1043, or any current STUCO officer.
There will be an interest meeting on Wednesday, February 17th at 4:30 in the presentation room. This is a great time to learn more, and have some of your questions answered.
FRENCH CLUB: Celebrate Mardi Gras this Friday after school in room 1100 - mask competition with prizes and King's Cake! Meeting will end at 5:30. Sign up today.
