Robotics Classroom Grant
In the spirit of giving and St. Nick, I would love to give 5 lucky teachers the chance to WIN $500 worth of ROBOTICS/CODING equipment for their classroom.
How do you apply?
Email me an itemized list of what you would like to purchase for your classroom and how it will be used to improve STEM and Literacy instruction in your classroom.
Explain how often it will be used and how you will monitor and track data tied to this.
You can partner with another teacher and come up with an innovative plan to spend $1000 to impact two classes worth of students as well. I"m open to all ideas!
One Major Rule:
You must be willing to document and share this with our school/twitter account and then blog about the journey on our school blog.
This is part of the WALMART GRANT that we wrote and received!
We are so lucky to have an amazing community behind us.
Tutoring Opportunities!!!
If you are interested, we would love for you to submit a proposal to develop after school tutoring to increase student achievement or fill in gaps that you are seeing with iReady monitoring. Please reach out to Ms. Emerson if you would like to work with a small targeted group of students.

Meeting Target Growth- A message from SVB
I have seen our teams working incredibly hard to plan meaningful and rigorous instruction. I know that with the kind of commitment we have at VBE each student is capable of making not just one year's growth -- but two years! This is truly what is going to move our school forward. Now is a great time to review your Growth Monitoring Reports in iReady and set student goals before our next diagnostic for grades K, 1, 2, 4, and 5.
Below is the target growth to show what students need to make growth in iReady.
