What will my child need to bring?
- Cloth Masks
- Labeled Water Bottle
- Individual School Supplies (click on link below). These supplies can be dropped off at the school any time from now until when school begins. Please have your supplies labeled with your student's name and teacher.
- Snack
- Optional- A lanyard or clip for the face mask, so that it is a little harder to lose or drop.

Computers
If your student is staying with PVConnect then they will be keeping their computer at home.
Please remember for those of you staying on PVConnect, if you need technology support to reach out to pvassist.pvschools.net.
Arrival Procedures
- Parents will not be permitted to enter campus at this time.
- If your child plans to eat breakfast they will go right to our cafeteria.
Buses will complete two runs for each route to attempt social distancing.
Grade levels will have designated areas to play before lining up to enter the building.
Grade levels will enter the building at staggered times to prevent overcrowding.
What will the classrooms look like?
Assigned seats will be required to ensure students are limiting their interactions with others, as well as to help with contact tracing.
Masks will be worn by all students and staff.
Distance will be maximized between students.
Sharing of materials, supplies, textbooks, and technology will be eliminated as much as possible. Parents are encouraged to supply their child with the necessary daily supplies (crayons, pencils, notebooks, scissors, glue sticks, markers, rulers, etc.)
Eating in the classrooms will be prohibited, unless the class is eating breakfast, lunch or it is a designated snack time.
Students and staff will wash/sanitize hands when entering a room.
Volunteers will not be allowed in classrooms.
Frequent hand washing and sanitizing, especially prior to transitioning away from desks or to another area of campus, is encouraged.
Students will be seated facing forward and distanced from others.
Example Classroom
Transitioning from class to class
- One grade level at a time will be transitioning through the school.
- Transition time between special area classes and lunches will be given in order for disinfecting to occur.
- Directional markers have been placed in the hallways. Teachers will educate students on the importance of following directional arrows and lines in the halls, as well as keeping distance between others while in line.
What will special areas look like?
Students will travel to specials as a class.
Shared resources will be limited. When not possible, shared resources will be cleaned/sanitized between classes.
Students will continue to have art, music, and PE.
Band students will be attending on Mondays and Wednesdays weekly.
Strings students will be attending on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What is lunch going to look like?
Students will wash their hands prior to leaving the classroom for lunch or recess.
All tables will face the same direction.
Each homeroom class will sit together in assigned rows and seats.
Limit the number of students to two per bench, when possible.
Each lunch period will be limited to one grade level.
Day custodian will disinfect/clean between each grade level.

6th Grade 11:15-11:55
What will recess look like?
Masks will be worn by students during recess.
Students are not allowed to bring equipment from home to use at school.
Students will sanitize hands before and after recess.
Playground structures will be wiped down after each grade level, or as often as possible.
A bag containing playground balls and jump ropes will be available for each class/grade level.
Students are encouraged to bring a labeled water bottle.
What will dismissal look like?
Staggered dismissal times in order to decrease crowding:
- 2:50- PreK
- 3:00- Kindergarten students: will be escorted by their teacher to the gate that is right next to our pond by the front office.
- 3:00- Siblings of kinder students
- 3:05- Students attending Mascot Club
- 3:10- Students being picked up in the flow zone and walkers
- 3:15- Bus riders
My child is staying on the PVConnect model. What will it look like when students return to in-person learning?
- There will be intermittent direct instruction between 8:45 and 3:15. Independent work will be given when instruction is not occurring.
- The teacher will be getting up frequently from the computer in order to assist those students that are in-person.
- The teacher will not be readily available for questions or concerns from parents during the school day.
- Materials will continue to need to be dropped off and picked up for grading purposes.
