Sensational Sites

SciGirls is a new show for kids ages 8-12 that showcases bright, curious real tween girls putting science and engineering to work in their everyday lives. Each half-hour episode follows a different group of middle school girls, whose eagerness to find answers to their questions will inspire your children to explore the world around them and discover that science and technology are everywhere! The website is a companion guide to the TV show and includes videos and games. Intermediate teachers, you may want to show this to any of your students interested in science! The site is a great alternative to just sitting and watching TV!

Super Teacher Worksheets

Super Teacher Worksheets provides printable worksheets and activities for teachers, parents, tutors, and homeschool families. Subjects include math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, to name a few. It's definitely worth the $20/year membership, especially if you split the cost with your team!

How To Upload Android Video To You Tube

Uploading Videos to YouTube

OneNote Woman has used this skill on many occasions! :) So has her alter-ego, Mrs. Lindner. In fact, she has used YouTube to upload videos of lessons for parents to watch via her classroom Facebook page. I know a high school teacher who records his lessons, uploads them to YouTube, and has the students watch the lecture at home so they can come to class prepared for the Science Lab.

This video only shows how to record videos and upload from an Android Device, which is what I use, but I imagine the process is similar with an i-phone.

If you only want parents to see the video, you can set it to private after uploading. Then enter specific e-mail addresses, as shown below.

Keyboard Shortcuts

This isn't so much a keyboard shortcut. It's more like a "Wow, I never knew that about Microsoft Word" tip, that could save you some time. Check it:

That little icon in the middle of your home menu allows you to change words from lowercase to uppercase (or other options, if you prefer) without having to delete them and type them again!

You may reward me with Peachie-O's and Red Vines.
