Scholastic Book Fair

This year, the Fall Scholastic Book Fair will be held Monday, October 7th - Thursday, October 10th in the gym. The fair will be open Monday - Wednesday 8:30am - 11:00am, and Thursday 8:30am - 12:00pm for Grandparents Day, and 5:00pm-6:00pm, after Extended and before the PTO meeting. All are welcome to shop the fair during any open hours!

For anyone who would like to shop the fair but can't make any of the open hours, online shopping is available from October 2nd - October 15th. All online orders will ship directly to your home and all orders totaling $25 or more ship for free!

RESERVE YOUR COPY! - Scholastic is offering pre-sales for two books during our Fall Fair:

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball paperback edition for $9.99

scheduled to go on sale November 5, 2019

Dog Man: Fetch-22 hardcover edition for $12.99

scheduled to go on sale December 10, 2019

Shipping is free on all pre-order sales and every sale earns Scholastic dollars for our school! Pre-order forms will be available at the fair or upon request during our fair week!

Acceptable forms of payment at the fair are cash, check, credit card, and eWallets.

eWallets are spending accounts that parents create online through the school's Scholastic Book Fair homepage. Using a credit card, parents determine how much money their child can spend at the fair. The child then does not need to bring any money to the fair. At the register, the transaction will take the money out of the child's eWallet account to pay for their books. Parents can modify the amount in the eWallet any time during the fair. Any money left unused after the fair ends, will be applied back to the parent's credit card.

To shop online or set up an eWallett go the our school's Scholastic Book Fair Homepage:

Volunteers needed!

If you can spare some time during any of the fair hours, please consider signing up to help out! The kids love coming to the fair and it's fun helping them find books they'll like. We will need extra help on Grandparents Day as it gets very busy with all the grandparents wanting to buy books for their grandchildren!

Please use this form to sign up where ever you can help! **Please note, you will see the different grades at different times, that is when each class is assigned a time to go visit the bookfair. **

If you have not taken the time to fill out the following forms, please take a few minutes now to do so. They can be found here on our website:

These forms encompass many important facets of school life for both you and your students.

If you need hard copies of anything, please contact the office to have them sent home.

The titles below are links to the relevant documents, and the link to the Acknowledgment form is at the bottom.

Nurse Notes:

Don't forget to have your updated physicals and immunization records on file in the nurse's office. All new students MUST have these on file before starting school.

You can drop epi pens & inhalers off with correct paperwork anytime we are open for the nurse.

ALL students who will participate in a sport (Cross Country, Cheerleading, Basketball) MUST have a physical on file giving them permission to participate in sports. Students will not be allowed to practice until we have the appropriate physical on file.

Mrs. Katrina Couture is our school nurse. She works for the Leominster Department of Public Health and is at St. Anna School daily from 11:40-12:40. We are also fortunate to have retired nurse Mrs. Maryanne Capistrano volunteer in the health office daily as well.

Cool Kids Cash Club

This program will allow students to being banking at school. They will learn the importance of saving and will be able to make deposits into their savings account twice a month. This is an easy and terrific way to start saving NOW for middle school field trips! Each year the 6th graders attend Nature’s Classroom at a cost of around $600. The Washington DC trip is held every other year so your child would have the opportunity to attend DC as either a 7th or 8th grader. This trip costs around $1000. If you being saving NOW, as early as preschool or Kindergarten, your child could easily save enough money to cover both of these trips by the time they become a middle school student!

Students will also learn skills about keeping a savings account pass book and other financial skills that are necessary to become financially responsible adults.
Parents who are interested in having their child participate in this program, will need to open their child’s account at Fidelity and then on-going deposits can be made conveniently at school.

Please feel free to stop in at either Fidelity branch in Leominster to open your account. Please let them know it is for St. Anna’s Cool Cash Club and/or email and let me know you’ve opened an account for your child so I can let you know when banking at school will begin.
If you have questions about the program, please contact Ruby Vargas from Fidelity Bank at or 978-353-2701
