I Stare at the Line and I Love It!

Brooke DeMichele Raises Funds for Her Swim Team

Dear Friends and Family,

I have been a swimmer since I was three. My Dad really encouraged me to join swim team this summer, and the time has really paid off. I'm confident and happy in the water, and I'm REALLY competitive. I often get asked how can you swim back and forth, endlessly, staring at the black line at the bottom of the pool? Truth is, I really don't have a great answer, except that I love it!

Swimming has gotten me in awesome shape (Mom tells me I'm skinny because of it). Most people I know can hardly swim a single lap of a pool, so I am VERY proud of my accomplishments! In the end, I know that swimming is making me a better person. More capable. More confident. More everything.I can't imagine not swimming for my team, and making friends with boys and girls of all ages, since we all help each other to win. I have great lane mates and love training and racing.

All said, the reason you're reading this is my swim team is running a fundraising event to raise critical money that will be used to benefit all of our team. Any amount is greatly appreciated. I want to swim 30 laps, at least. I’m asking for any amount to meet that goal. How does $1 per lap sound?

To support me CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW MY PICTURE...Donating is really simple. Just click the green "Please Donate" button above my picture and fill-in the information. Thank you for your help to meet my 30 lap goal.

Love, Brooke

2018 Swim-a-thon

The clock is started. We are excited for this year's BIG team fundraiser, and hope to raise a ton of money for our team. As a non-profit organization, the monthly dues that we charge our families are only part of the money required to cover all of the operational costs our team sees each year.

So each year we run a USA Swimming Foundation approved fundraising event called a Swim-a-Thon, which brings all of our kids together for a two hour swimming event where they swim as many laps as possible.

5% of the proceeds raised from our Swim-a-Thon goes back to the USA Swimming Foundation to support youth learn-to- swim programs and to provide financial support to our U.S. National Team athletes and coaches. By donating to our Swim-a-Thon fundraiser, you are not only providing funds to build a stronger team at home, you are helping to give kids across the country the same great experience in the pool.

Everyone gets involved at this family friendly event! Our athletes fundraising participation raises money from friends and family which is critical to financially helping out our team. Your support of our Swim-a-Thon is very much appreciated!
