SAFETY UPDATE
An upcoming change to improve school safety and security is with the walkway between RBMS and FES. The walkway will be locked and only accessible by those with keys or keyfobs. It will be open in the morning for students who go to RBMS for breakfast. However, after breakfast it will remain locked. FES students will need to exit through the FES building at the end of the day as they will not be able to travel between buildings.
Thank you for understanding as we continue to improve our safety and security measures.

Big Top Books!
Big Top Books has had a lot of excellent readers turn in reading slips. We are now at 60,000 minutes. There are more reading slips available on the table for any student to pick up. We really need a LOT more reading minutes before the end of the month. Trigger, the quarter horse, has been giving rides to many students who brought in a quarter to have a fun filled mechanical horse ride. Trigger is owned by Riverfront Antiques in Clinton and they are generously donating all the quarters to PTO for the new playground equipment. Read-a-thon donations can be sent to school for the playground equipment. Students may collect donations or pledges per minutes read. PTO has done a fantastic job in collecting funds for the new playground. Please support PTO with donations, pledges and quarters for Trigger. The library will be serving lunch to 2 special classes that have read the most minutes. Keep those reading slips coming in.
Math/Reading Night will be on Tuesday, January 28 from 6-7:30 pm with games and reading activities throughout the school. Big Top Books has been another magical theme for the students to enjoy with the puppet theater, popcorn machine, Trigger (quarter horse), circus tents and lots of circus stories read by Paula Ensinger and Susie Pannell. January Reading Incentive encourages students to become life-longer readers and have a great time reading on cold winter nights and snow days. Snuggle up with a good book and enjoy the winter.
The LRC has some great new chapter books!
