Linking You & Dalton
See below for regular Dalton programming!
Visitors and Volunteers
When you come in for the first time, we will run your ID through the Raptor database and give you a visitor badge. As you prepare to leave, you'll return to the badge to the front office staff. After your first ID scan, you will not be expected to scan till next year.
We love to see our families support their students by volunteering at school for various positions. To start this process, please visit https://www.cdaschools.org/volunteer to fill out a volunteer application. Thank you! We are grateful for our volunteers!
Parent Pickup
In an effort to communicate well with our families regarding early parent pick up from school, we have put together some information to help make pick up smooth for all.
1. Please give your student's teacher a heads up via email, if at all possible, what day/time you plan to pick up early. This helps logistically if the time coincides with recess or specialists.
2. We prefer to call the children to the office once you arrive at school. Please allow a few extra minutes before your appointment/departure, if possible, so we have time to locate your student, have him/her pack up, and arrive at the office. The reason we prefer this method is that the office can get very busy, and it is hard for us to keep track of timing. This will also help in case you are delayed in your arrival and allow for the most classroom/learning time possible.
3. We prefer not to release children AFTER 3:15, unless you have an appointment.
Thank you for reading these pick up tips and know we value and appreciate all our families so much!
Very respectfully,
Mrs. Debra and Mr. Jason
Late or Missing School?
As we get started, we want to inform you regarding the process of keeping a child home from school.
As the school morning starts, we begin calling parents as early as 10 minutes after the second bell to ensure each child is safe and accounted for every day. If you're planning on keeping a child out for more than 2 days, please contact your student's teacher via email to discuss homework. Completing assignments at home can turn your student's absence into "Remote Learning", which will would not go on their permanent record.
If a student is tardy, he/she must check into the office before heading to class. Thank you!
