The Egyptians wanted the pyramids to be spectacular because when the pharaoh passes he is mummified and then is placed in the pyramid which is actually called a tomb for the pharaohs. They place the pharaohs in the tombs because they believed they were gods and also believed in the afterlife. That's why the Egyptians wanted the pyramids to be spectacular.

The pyramids represent the Egyptian society because they built something that is both meaningful and difficult. The pyramids were burial tombs, so their leaders was powerful enough to have a large group of men and the materials necessary to produce these monuments. The difficulty came in having the engineering skills to design these pyramids, find the materials, and move it into place.

The Ancient Egyptian pyramids are very big and are looked at as a 3-dimensonal figure. The Ancient Egyptian pyramids had a very sandy color and the pyramids were never built with any other color that is not sandy color. When you look up close at a pyramid you will see the hundreds and thousands of mud bricks they had to use to build the pyramid. The pyramids also look like there was sand piled over the mud bricks.
