Please make sure your children are wearing athletic shoes.
Each grade is asked to wear a specific color shirt if possible.
- K: Red
- 1st: Yellow
- 2nd: Purple
- 3rd: Orange
- 4th: Green
- 5th: Blue
The day will include lots of fun games, relays, teambuilding activities...
We will cap off the day with our traditional Tug-o-War and Fastest Kid Competition.
This week, every student was invited to conquer “Around the World in 77 days”, an Anderson Learning Adventure. The goal of this summer adventure is to make sure your child not only has lots of fun but also has meaningful opportunities to continue their growth as a learner.
This adventure begins May 30 and goes through August 8.
Why?:
To encourage the joy of learning and maintain the positive momentum our students have!
To give parents ideas and a “Checklist” of summer fun activities.
To encourage and celebrate our students’ hard work and learning this summer.
To prevent summer reading/math loss. Students who do not read regularly during the summer months lose up to 3 months of reading growth. Students who do read during the summer continue to make gains in reading. (That means that a student who does not read may come back to school 4 months behind his/her peers.)
How:
Work through the activity list and check off as many of the activities as you can.
Accomplish the goal to complete at least 40 minutes of iReady Reading, and 40 minutes of iReady Math every week. (Your child can show you their minutes per week progress on their Chromebook or iPad)
Each week, parents/guardians can initial their child’s map, moving them closer and closer to completing their trip around the world (Each square represents 20 min. of iReady work) Can you make it to every continent?
When school resumes in the fall, return the signed map to your child’s new classroom teacher.
Students who complete “Around the World in 77 Days” will be acknowledged next fall receiving their certification, a small gift, and a new book!
If you fall behind, don’t give up. Push ahead, one day at a time. You can reach your goal!
All returning students must register for Next School Year! Don't delay... it only takes a few minutes.

Click ABOVE for information about registering your children for the next school year 2022-2023. Registration is now OPEN!
Please Pick Up your student's medication.
It’s hard to believe another school year is almost over! This is a reminder that you will need to come to school to pick up your child’s medication by the last day of school. Those medications that are not picked up at the end of the year will be disposed of. Per D303 policy, we are not able to keep medication here over the summer for reuse in the fall. Students may not transport any daily medications or over-the-counter medications. All medications will have to be picked up by a parent or adult designee with the parent's permission.
Please call the health office with any questions: (331) 228-3300
Thank you and have a wonderful summer!
