2. Where are you from?
I am from Liverpool, UK
3. Family?
I'm in the UAE alone but I have two beautiful nieces and a nephew in the UK who are incredible.
4. Childhood nickname?
Toey
5. Favourite food?
Anything spicy!
6. Hobbies?
Football (Liverpool FC fan ) and travelling the world, experiencing different cultures.
7. Favourite place in the UAE?
Anywhere where I can see the sea or see the mountains. I really enjoy the early morning time when there are little or no people around, I find it very peaceful and relaxing.
8. Most memorable experience as a teacher so far?
Getting stuck at the top of a tree during an outward bounds activity and my fear of heights kicking in. The students obviously laughed at me, but they also gave me lots of encouragement until the instructor came to rescue me.
9. Funniest moment in your teaching career?
Quite possibly the day I arranged for a camel to be delivered to school for National Day Celebrations and they lowered it on the sports field with a crane. The students loved it!
10. The most challenging moment in your teaching career?
Every day we face challenges. I have had my ups and downs in my career, but every experience has been a lesson learnt. Teaching is never predictable, and that's why I enjoy it so much. The day I stop facing challenges is the day I need to try something new.
11. Childhood hero?
My Dad.
12. If you weren't a teacher, what would you be?
I'd have probably joined the Military police. However, if I got to choose now, I'd like to be a chef, but one that gets to travel the world learning new techniques from each country.
