HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ROSE LANE'S ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Hello Rose Lane Families,
As we enter into this new year this is a great time to remind and refresh SOAR expectations. SOAR stands for Safe Organized Accountable and Respectful. We encourage students to always SOAR at school and at home. One way to help enforce SOAR expectations at home is to ask them how they demonstrated SOAR expectations at school. Praise them for their efforts and talk through any challenges that they faced that day.
The beginning of the year is also a great time to remind all of us the importance of attendance. Students who are chronically absent are at a higher risk for struggling academically and socially. If you are having a challenge with getting your child to school please reach out to us so that we can help. If your child has a chronic medical issue please make sure that it is documented with our nurse.
Thank you,
Karri Starkman, M.Ed

❄️Cold temperatures, warm hearts!💕
Our first week back to school brought frigid morning temperatures in the thirties. An observant Rose Lane parent noticed several students at morning drop off with short sleeves. Concerned about the safety and well being of our students, this generous parent took a quick trip to Target to purchase sweatshirts to donate to our Rose Lane community. We are so grateful for his caring heart!
Additionally, we had an overflowing "Lost and Found" prior to Winter Break. Please write your child's name in jackets and on water bottles to ensure these items can be returned to your child in the event they are misplaced.
