Knights of the Round Table
King Arthur's Knights
The Examplar of Chivalry
Sir Gawaine is King Arthur's nephew and also one of the Knights of the Round Table. His parents were King Lot of Orkney and Morgause. He became the head of Orkney once his father died. He was well-mannered and cared about many. He was respectful and courageous. All of these characterisitics lead to him being referred to as "the most chivalrous man alive." Gawaine demonstrated his chivalry when he forgave one of his greatest enemies before his death. Gawaine's brother was accidentally killed in battle with Sir Lancelot, causing great friends like Gawaine and Lancelot to become great enemies.
