State Testing
We will have state testing for our students in grades 3rd-5th. May 9th, May 11th, and May 17th will be testing days for our students.
It is very important that our students are on time for school. Once the testing starts in a classroom a student may not enter the classroom late when state testing is going on.
Please make sure that your children are getting to bed on time to ensure they are well-rested for the assessment.
Please remind your children to take their time on the assessment. We are excited to see all the knowledge that they have learned this school year.
Thank you for your support!
School Climate Survey
Please use the link below to fill out the School Climate Survey for the 2022-2023 School year. Below is more information on the survey.
The Delaware Positive Behavior Support (DE-PBS) Project, a partnership between the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) and the University of Delaware’s Center for Disabilities Studies, is pleased to share with the Red Clay Consolidated School District an invitation to participate in the 2023 Delaware School Climate Surveys (DSCS). These surveys are available to public schools statewide through an online platform surveying students, staff and/or families provides valuable information on perceptions of school climate as well as student engagement, social-emotional competencies, and more.
Research indicates school climate is linked to a wide range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for students including increased academic achievement and motivation, lower rates of behavior problems, and greater sense of emotional well-being. In 2022 over 43,000 students, 6,500 staff and almost 7,000 families from 19 LEAs responded to the DSCS yielding robust data reports for use in decision making by LEAs and schools. To learn more about the DE School Climate Survey, please view our FAQ and the DE-School Climate Survey website.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
As Mental Health Awareness Month, May is a time to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding trauma and behavioral health issues and the impact it can have on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, families, and communities. We have put together a Google Drive with lots of information, resources, and activities for our Richey families to explore and use. Please take a look and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Durant.
