Peek at the Week-Amended
Week of 12/11/2017
Shepherd Middle School in the News
Earlier this week, I got a text from a colleague that I had hired in February 2010, to teach Science at Ross Sterling Middle School in Humble Texas. She had newly graduated from college, alternatively certified as a Science Teacher! What a commodity! That doesn't happen that time of year...and yes, she was highly qualified. When she was hired, I remember telling anyone who asked about our new Science teacher, "She's a diamond in the rough." Well I am here to tell you, she has transformed into the diamond I knew she would be. She is responsible for the addition of the youtube video attached to this newsletter.
What touched my heart the most was what she said in the text..."This makes me think of you....At least the question." Thank you Danielle Zelenske Parker for all that you do, have done and will do, as you continue to work your purpose. So, in case you ever wonder if you have made a difference as an educator in someones life, the answer is yes. Yes you have. Stay focused, work the work.
If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.
