Plastic on Beaches
There are many types of pollutions that end up on beaches and later in their waters. Most often these debris are plastic. Whether it is water bottles, platic food bags, plastic caps and lids, we've all found these on beaches. Sadly, mostly this type of pollution is brough on by humans. Beach pollution is usually caused when people leave thier litter and waste on the beaches, and when it nature takes its course through rain and wind they end up washed ashore. Even if not directly, through ships dumping thier waste, people flushing things down toliets or sewers evenrually can end up in the waters. How does it affect you?
Many animals rely on the food of the sea for nurishment. To a sea turtle, a floating plastic bag could look a jellyfish. Other small plastic pieces look like fish eggs to seabirds. These animals will ingest the objects mistakingly. In all, what goes in the ocean could later go into you. Also, even the people who swim/bathers in these polluted waters a more likely to get sick or some form of diseases.
