2016 CVLA Kickoff Meeting

Hello CVLA Members,

Its almost time for our first CVLA meeting of the year. We are privileged to have our meeting at Mountain Crest High School next Thursday, Jan. 21st at 4:30pm with a program by Paula Zsiray entitled "High School 101." This is one of our most important meetings of the year, with activities such as:

  • Giving out the Library Hero Award
  • Handing the official CVLA President's gavel to JaDene
  • Introducing our new 2016 CVLA Executive Committee
  • Saying thank you to our outgoing 2015 CVLA Executive Committee

Program details:

Paula Zsiray will discuss how a whole school came together to teach reading and how the librarian played a key part of that program.

ProStart will be providing the culinary portion of our event. Many thanks to them! ProStart is a basic course from the National Restaurant Association (NRA) that introduces students into the world of culinary arts and hospitality management. Basic communication skills, safety and sanitation, food preparation, meal planning, and other topics are taught in this beginning course.
