Ring Leader Tidbits
~ Thanks to everyone's flexibility this week, as we have our first round of benchmark testing. It's always so nice to know that all grade levels will do whatever needed in order to help support those who are testing. We really appreciate everyone's flexibility and open mind.
~ It's the end of the month and time for our January Elks of the Month. Please submit your name to Lilly, and we will get those announced this week! Have your form turned into her by this Friday, so we can have it hung on the wall.
~ We are going to need to reschedule our staff meeting set for Feb. 4th, due to a conflict with one of the principals who was set to attend. I will let you know of the new date as soon as we confirm.
~ Just a reminder of our meeting norms when we get together at a meeting. Everyone who is presenting deserves your full attention, just as you would expect a student to give his/her full attention to you when you are teaching in class.
1. Listen when a speaker is talking
2. Limit table talk/conversation unless working in a collaborative activity
3. Stay off cell phones
4. Respect everyone's time
~ It's that time of year again when campus para, professional, and teacher of the year nominations take place. The forms and process has changed this year, and I will be sending the information to you all this week. Remember, you must have been employed in the district for 3 years in order to be eligible. There will be a list of eligible employees sent to you, so you will know who can be nominated. Please take the time to recognize these deserving employees! We have THE BEST in the district!
~ Thanks for continuing to send in your video reflections. I would love to have some people volunteer to share some things they noticed about themselves at our next staff meeting. It's always so interesting to watch ourselves on video. We can learn SO much just by a quick reflection!
~ Rebecca is getting the UIL letter copied and ready to send home. Thanks again to everyone who volunteered to help! This is an area that is addressed and scored on dimension 4.3 and 4.4 in TTESS. In these specific sections, it talks about enhancing the professional community and demonstrating leadership with students, colleagues, and community through communication and outreach .
~ Make sure to adjust your calendars for Seussical. We have moved it to Wednesday, March 20th at 6:00 pm, due to some conflicts. It will still take place at Creekview. This change will allow those students who were interested in participating in UIL to be able to participate in both, if they choose.
