LISA WEST HIGH NEWSLETTER
SEPTEMBER 16-20, 2019
9-10TH GRADE STUDENT & PARENT ACADEMIC INFORMATION NIGHT
Event Schedule:
5:00-5:30 PM-Refreshments
5:30-6:30 PM-Presentation Session
parent teacher conference
Parent-teacher conferences are on Friday, September 20, 2019, between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The parent-teacher conference is more than check-in on how your child is doing in school. Rather, this important interaction with your child’s teacher provides the opportunity to work together as a team to ensure success both in and out of school. Parents and teachers each have a perspective to share, and working together can help you find ways to provide the appropriate and necessary support for your child.
Asking questions can be a key element of the parent-teacher conference, and educators often suggest coming in with some questions already in mind. Examples of some helpful questions include:
- What are my child’s strengths and weaknesses?
- How does my child get along with classmates?
- Is my child working up to her or his ability? Where could she or he use improvement?
- What can we do at home to support what is being done in the classroom
Please schedule your meeting at teachers' YouCanBookMe web pages.
