We Love Our Library!
Hello Lowell Families and Caregivers!
This month we played catchup with our library skills at all grade levels. Kindergarten to second grade explored the differences between fiction and nonfiction and learned where books live in our library. Third to fifth grade made huge leaps to working and searching independently in the library. From recognizing different neighborhoods, reading call numbers and using the library catalog to find a book on the shelf, they quickly mastered library skills. Up next is coding!

Family Activity: Kindergarten Media Balance
The power of the internet allows students to experience and visit places they might not be able to see in person. But, just like traveling in the real world, it's important to be safe when traveling online. On this virtual field trip, kids can practice staying safe on online adventures.
