"Love First, Last, & Always"
“We don’t always get to pick the parable we’re living,
but we get to pick who we are in the parable”
- Bob Goff
If given the choice, I don’t think many of us would have chosen the circumstances currently facing us. The rug has been pulled out from under us and we are having to change how we move through our day. Everything feels different, and it is easy to feel frustrated, overwhelmed, and lost.
But we have a choice. We have the ability to stand in this moment and decide how to move through it. As Bob Goff says, we can’t choose the parable we are living, but we can pick who we are in the parable. Today, choose to be the Good Samaritan. Be the father in the parable of Prodigal Son. Be the Faithful Servant. We can’t change this situation, but we can choose how we respond. Today, be the one in the parable who responds with love.

Renaming of Jean Vanier School
Thought Exchange received 135 participants with 109 thoughts coming forward and 2626 stars rating the names. Top three names: St. Nicholas, The Good Shepherd, Holy Trinity. After reviewing the results of the consultation, the EICS Board of Trustees unanimously supported the name of St. Nicholas Catholic School, who is the schools patron saint. The Archdiocese of Edmonton supports this change. St. Nicholas Catholic school will officially open for the 2020-2021 school year!
