INDOOR PERCUSSION & WINTER GUARD HOME SHOW
The BHS Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard groups traveled to Bowling Green, KY for Circuit Championships this weekend. Winter Guard competed Saturday in a very competitive class, finishing 8th (out of 11) with less than an 8 point spread to 1st (tight!). Indoor Percussion competed Sunday finishing 4th overall (3rd in half of the categories - Musical Effect and Individual Visual performance, out of 11) with a 2.5 point spread to 1st!
Both of these teams have had very educational and challenging seasons, putting on very entertaining productions. We want you to see and hear what really goes in to these activities! Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
http://www.hsvutil.org/myhsvu…/checkbill/roundup/signup.html
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!

Don't want to take your final exam? Don't miss school! Students are now given the opportunity to exempt their final exam in each of their classes. However, their grades AND their attendance will be the deciding factor. Students should think ahead and plan for the end of the semester - don't miss days you don't have to.
- A student who earns exemption status has the option to take the comprehensive final examination to raise the final grade average for the course.
- The comprehensive final examination grade will count 20% of the student's final grade.
- Absences due to approved school activities will not count against course attendance.

If a student violates the dress code, he/she will be asked to change into appropriate clothing, which may require the student to return home. The Madison County School District does not discriminate in admission, treatment, or access to programs or activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, religious preference, disability, age, gender, citizenship, non-English speaking ability, or homeless status. Students with disabilities will be provided with the same needed supports and services for extra-curricular programs and activities that are provided during the school day, unless doing so would fundamentally alter the nature of the program and activity.
