DAA MS GRADE LEVEL NEWSLETTERS
March 10, 2023
Dear Parents
The Middle School will hold our semester two student-led Parent-Teacher conferences next week. These conferences always allow our students to showcase their achievements and progress throughout the year. Our teachers will also be sharing suggestions to ensure that your child has a successful end to the academic year. You should have received Zoom links this afternoon for the different sessions.
Our students and chaperones returned safely from their various Week Without Walls experiences. This year was the first opportunity for any of our current Middle School students to travel internationally. It was pleasant to hear many of our students speak about how the trips allowed them to reflect upon how lucky they are with the many advantages of living in Dubai. Our Middle School team has already begun planning next year's trips as we consult with our coordinator, chaperones, and trip organizers to reflect upon this year’s different experiences and enhance them next year.
As the temperature gradually increases, please remind your child to bring a reusable water bottle to school to stay adequately hydrated throughout the day. Our Health Office has been quite busy of late. Please talk with your child about only requesting to go to the nurse if there is a genuine need.
As we approach the Holy Month of Ramadan, you will receive communication from the school regarding the various activities and structures that will be implemented to ensure that all of our community can celebrate this special time respectfully.
Have a great weekend.
Sean Mc Garvey
Middle School Assistant Principal

DAA Listens!
At DAA we are committed to communicating effectively with our families. We believe that open communication between home and school is a vital component of our student’s success.
We are excited to launch a new communication channel within our school community, called DAA Listens. By scanning this QR code you will be able to share your compliments, comments or concerns directly with our Superintendent Dr Hildreth. There are also 6 mailboxes located around the school, where students and parents can drop a postcard. On the middle school level, the mailbox is right across from the main office. Either method will ensure that Dr. Hildreth will receive the communication and that a member of staff will be back in touch with you quickly.
Your voice is highly valued and we look forward to listening to your feedback as we collectively seek to enhance every student’s experience at our school.
